He has been influenced by several jazz, rock and progressive rock drummers including Buddy Rich, Jeff Porcaro, John Bonham, Deen Castronova, Neil Peart, Tommy Aldridge, Steve Smith, and Aynsley.  He has also had the experience of studying alongside John Riley, Mike Curotto, Edward McClary, Tommy Aldridge and Aynsley Dunbar.
 
Damion Mantle, the guitarist of Journey Unauthorized is a San Francisco Bay Area native who has a unique background in musical styles with rock, jazz, metal, classical, flamenco, country and blues. He is a graduate of Blue Bear School of Music and has studied alongside big acts such as Milan Jacobs and Michael Lee Firtins. He has drawn heavy influence from the guitarist of the original Journey, Neal Schon whose style he not only captures with perfect technique and passion abut also emulates the artist's rather colorful and bright onstage persona. Keyboardist Roy Potter is a self-taught musician who has had the chance to play alongside many legendary musicians such as Loverboy and B.B. King. His work includes several film scores for Philosopher and Artist Robert Cremeans' Metaphor and Process, which gained much critical acclaim. He has also recorded and composed musical score for a Nelson Chang flim called God'sWarrior.  Perry Stevens, the group's vocalist, is undoubtedly, the best vocalist of today's rock and roll and has captured the complete essence of Journey's vocal style.
