Over the course of his career he has released a number of solo albums, all of which have been loved by his fans. His first album "Hard Road to Travel" came out in 1968 and was a fun, light compilation of songs. The album covered the reggae and soul genres, which soon became Jimmy Cliff's niche. His most famous albums include, "The Harder they Come" which got released in 1972. This album established him as a serious and talented solo artist in the eyes of the music industry and gave a huge boost to his solo career. At the time when the album was released reggae was still not a popular music genre, but Jimmy Cliff succeeded in redefining the genre and gave the music lovers something new to listen to. Since then he has released many albums and has made a name of himself in the international music scene. His latest albums are a compilation of the amazing music work he has done over the years.
