Governors Ball-Day is a yearly music festival that takes place in New York City. It was founded by a group of music lovers in 2011. The main aim behind this venture was to give the music lovers of New York City an event that was primarily a contemporary marquee music festival. Since then it has grown into a successful venture that now invites numerous bands and artists to the venue. The organizers wanted an event similar to Austin City Limits and Outside Lands but in the heart of the city. The key people behind arranging this festival are Jordan Wolowitz and Alex Young. These two have remained the driving force behind Governors Ball-Day and tried their level best to keep the event going while adding up new bands and artists to the lineup.
Governors Ball-Day can rightfully be considered among the most diverse music festivals in New York City.
