Glen Hansard tickets offer a spectacular showcase of the famed singer and songwriter from The Frames. This Academy Award winning artist has been associated with Irish band The Frames alongside The Swell Season. Both these acts have allowed Hansard to emerge as a brilliant songwriter, musician as well as singer. Inspired by the legendary rock stars of the seventies; Leonard Cohen, Van Morrison and Bob Dylan, Hansard was able to oust other influences. He crafted beautiful songs not only in words but also in vocals and music. The result was the astounding sound of Glen Hansard that was heard via The Frames. An ever-increasing passion for music took the budding Glen Hansard from the Dublin's public domain to The Frames. Formed in 1990 this band came and became a sensation in the Irish music with a streak of hit albums one after the other. Beginning with Another Love Song the band performed live and in studio to deliver one album after the other. The list includes the commendable Fitzcarraldo (1995), Dance the Devil (1999), For the Birds (2001), Burn the Maps (2004), Fake (2003) and The Cost (2006). The band also toured with Glen supporting Bob Dylan and singing Van Morison cover on almost all concerts. The Frames were also able to release two live compilations Breadcrumb Trail (2002) and Set List (2003). With the folk duo the Swell Season Glen Hansard was able to release the trinity; The Swell Season (2006), Once Soundtrack (2007) and Strict Joy (2009). His debut solo release Rhythm and Repose is scheduled for June 2012 and is being regarded as more promising than any other Glen Hansard venture to date.
Glen Hansard's real claim to fame as singer, songwriter and musician came as an actor. Casted as guitar player Outspan Foster in the a movie The Commitments (1991) he was able to express music with his formal acting training and was very well noticed. He channeled his music energies to another RTÉ venture called the Other Voices: Songs from a Room that presented Irish music talent on television. Deciding to go solo Hansard left The Frames he sheltered under Overcoat Recordings' umbrella. International instrumentalist Markéta Irglová, Marja Tuhkanen and Bertrand Galen collaborated with Hansard for this album. Viola the results were simply beautiful. Hansard teamed up with Irglová again in 2007 to cover Bob Dylan's You Ain't Goin'Nowhere.
Another collaboration that Glen Hansard made while solo was with Colm Mac Con Iomaire. This member form his band allowed him to discover his solo inclination and render his influences the right way. However, his socio-political activism carved a highly famed path for him. It allowed Glen Hansard to join hands with Irish legends of music Bono, Damien Rice and others for the Simon Community time and again; they are up and working for the cause in their given capacity. Glen Hansard has been playing solo and live very successfully raising charity for numerous causes. Mark Geary and Eddie Vedder are two artist he has collaborated live with alongside the rock icon Bob Dylan. Glen Hansard as successfully claimed numerous awards for his hard work, talent and innate love for music. The foremost recognition earned by him is the Academy Award for Achievement in Music for the year 2008; the song Falling Slowly was written for a Motion Picture Once. This song went on to bring more recognition and fame. The Critics' Choice Award for the Best Original Song went to the same song. The Angeles Film Critics Association Awarded Falling Slowly as the Best Original Score for the year 2008. Glen Hansard also won many nominations; the prestigious Grammy Awards nominated Falling Slowly at the 50th Annual Grammy Awards in for Best Song Written for Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media. The same Grammies also nominated it for the Best Compilation Soundtrack Album for Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media.
