Gad Elmaleh
Gad Elmaleh is a name of famous Moroccan-French actor, who is also known for his great comic style. He was born on April 19, 1971, in the city of Casablanca of Morocco.
Gad had a Jewish descent, but he had passed his life in a multicultural environment, affecting his personality and ideas. He is able to speak Moroccan Arabic, French, and Hebrew.
Gad had left his country for Canada at the age of 17. There he had spent four years in Montreal and concentrated on the study of political science. It was the same time when he had appeared on theatre for the first time.
Gad had decided to move to Paris in the year of 1992, at the age of 22. There he got a chance to study with Isabelle Nanty, who was the person for having collaboration, for his first one-man show called Decalages in the year of 1995.
The show was performed in the famous Palais des glaces, and interestingly it was an autobiography of him. After the success of the show, he had decided to focus on establishing a career in cinema and had a debut in the film titled, Salut cousin! by Merzak Allouache.
He had also worked on other projects like L'homme est une femme comme les autres and Train de Vie, at the same time.
Gad had another successful one man show to his credit, which was titled as La Vie Normale. He had attained the height of glory with the film named La Verite si je mens ! 2 released in the year of 2000. He was highly acclaimed for the brilliant performances in the shows and in the films.
He had portrayed several of characters with minute details and has a big fan falling. His third one man show named Lautre cest moi in the year of 2005, had a close interaction with the audience due to change in his status and style. He has starred opposite many lead actresses in the French cinema in the movies like Pignon in La and Hors de prix.
Elmaleh had been given the award of Chevalier des Arts et des lettres French ministry of culture in March 2006. He had also been elected as la personnalite la plus dr?le de France, which means the funniest person in France, after a contest with 49 other top humorists in the year of 2007. he has been recently involved in a show called Papa est en haut.
He had returned to Canada with his stage show called L'autre, c'est moi in September of 2006, and had also performed in the United States U.S. at the Beacon Theater in front of 3000 spectators, then he took the same show to Morocco.
He has also performed successfully in other countries like Belgium, and Switzerland.
