Frank Caliendo starred for two small seasons on Frank TV, which was his own TBS sketch show beginning in November 2007. He hosted the show and performed sketches in complete makeup and joked about wanting the show's name to be 'The Chappelle Show' instead. In 2001 he officially became part of the MADtv cast, working as a repertory performer in its seventh season, while also as the MADtv version of Darrell Hammond from Saturday Night Live. In 2002 he took Will Sasso's place in doing George W. Bush impersonations and won viewing members when he did the offbeat impersonation of Fox sports' previous announcer John Madden along with several other Fox personalities.
By the end of 2000, Frank Caliendo made an appearance as a guest on Fox NFL Sunday hosted by Jimmy Kimmel. Caliendo did his extremely well-known impression of John Madden, which was received with winning applause. By 2003, Kimmel left the show upon which Caliendo was named as his permanent replacement. Other appearances made by him include the film The Comebacks, Late Friday, Mind ofMenica, among many others. He has also had the honor of being invited to the White House Correspondent Dinner of 2007 to perform his George W. Bush impersonation.
