American singer, musician and songwriter Eddie Vedder was born with the real name of Edward Louis Severson III on December 23, 1964 at Evanston, Illinois. He is most renowned as a guitarist and the lead vocalist for Pearl Jam, an Alternative Rock band from the United States. He is also known with many other names, including Ed Vedder, Jerome Turner, Edward Mueller, Jerome 230 and Wes. C. Addle. Music was in his blood, as his father was a lounge musician, but he could not know about this fact until he reached his youth. It was because of the fact that his parents divorced when he was small, and his mother remarried an attorney, not telling Eddie about his real father until he had grown up. Eddie started taking interest in music when he was in his teens. His mother gifted him a guitar that he often played it when he found himself stressed out, and playing guitar became one of the two favorite pass times he had, the other being basketball.
Eddie's mother divorced again when he was in high school, and it was only then that he came to now that the attorney named Peter Mueller was not his real father. He moved to an apartment for an independent life, studying at San Dieguito High School as well as working at a drug store at night. Soon he had to say goodbye to his education owing to the fact that he was unable to maintain a balance between earning a living and getting education. He then moved to the rest of his family in Chicago where he completed his high school GED while working as a waiter.
Later on, Eddie decided to pursue a professional career in music, owing to the great passion he had for this form of art, as well as his awareness of the potential he had. He moved to San Diego, California with his girlfriend, where they both worked to earn a living as well as recorded their tapes. He also worked with many small bands there, including The Butts, Surf and Destroy and the Indian Style, where he had a chance to meet Brad Wilk, the drummer who later gained fame with the bands like Audioslave and Rage Against the Machine. A progressive funk rock band named Band Radio was the first band that Eddie joined as a vocalist.
Eddie Vedder left Bad Radio in late 1980s, and worked at a local gas station for a long time, looking for an opportunity for his musical career. Eventually he met Jack Irons, a drummer from Red Hot Chili Peppers who told him about a band in Seattle that was looking for a singer. Eddie wrote down some lyrics and recorded the vocals and mailed the tape to that band in Seattle. The band was impressed by his voice, and called him for an audition. Eddie joined them for their new album Temple of the Dog that was released in 1991.
Eddie joined the band Pearl Jam in 1991, which was formed by Gossard, Ament and McCready, while Dave Krusen, who was also working there as a drummer, was replaced by Matt Chamberlain. The band produced some great hits, and Eddie had a great share in them. It was Pearl Jam that won Eddie Vedder the enormous amount of popularity and recognition that he enjoys today.
According to critics who have studied and analyzed Eddie Vedder's singing style, his vocals resemble that of Jim Morrison. He is also known to be influenced by singers like Bruce Springsteen, The Beatles, Tom Petty, Frank Zappa, The Heartbreakers, Elvis Costello and Bob Dylan. He has also been awarded with many awards and titles, including the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song for Guranteed. With a musical style so impressive and so different, Eddie Vedder Tickets TLE offers the music lovers an experience that is surely going to be out of this world!
