DJ Tiesto
Globally renowned Dutch trance DJ and record producer, DJ Tiesto, was born on January 17, 1969 as Tijs Verwest. Tiesto was also nominated for Grammy Award following his fame and sound fan base all across the globe.

He stands among some of the fan favorites when it comes to trance and electronic dance music scene. He is well known as DJ Tiesto internationally, although he has used couple of other aliases as well, and presently he is simply known as Tiesto.

Tiesto rose to the heights of fame in 2000s, after which he was seen performing headlining live performances in front massive crowds, with any assistance provided by any other DJs in form of an opening act. For his outstanding work, Tiesto was nominated for a Grammy Award for his album Elements of Life, in 2008.

Tiesto is also privileged on being the only DJ ever to perform in Olympic Games, which he did during Olympic Games in 2004. From 2002 till 2004, DJ Magazine also cited Tiesto as Worlds No.1 DJ three times.

Tiesto started taking interest in music when he was 12 years of age, and as the years passed by and his passion for music grew stronger, by the age of 20 he was seen DJing in locals clubs and small school and dance parties.

From 1985, Verwest started working as resident DJ at numerous clubs in Netherlands, and there he played with different aliases. He worked as a resident DJ till 1994.

Verwest really got a chance to show his original work when he started working at the club named The Spock in Breda, where he used to play his own style of music from 10 pm till 4 am in a separate room.

Tiesto turned towards trance in mid 90s and started producing trance and this is when he made his breakthrough by doing something that no one else was doing at that time and it was to start building mixed compilations, in 1995.

Almost two years later in 1997, in order to release his own single he co founded Black Hole Recordings along with Arny Bink. Later a sub label of Black Hole Recordings, Magik Muzik was also founded, which also served Tiestos vision of signing Trances future.

Tiesto released the first out of seven installments of his Magik Series in 1997, and released the seventh and the last one in 2001.

Magik Series was followed by his In Search of Sunrise Series. Tiesto also became one half of a duo named Gouryella with the other one being another Dutch DJ, Ferry Corsten, 1999.

Tiesto released the sixth installment of his In Search of Sunrise Series and the name, Ibiza, was inspired by an island. Tiesto will also be playing at the largest club in world, as cited by Guinness World Records, The Privilege.

Tiesto would be performing 4 hour sets on ever Monday starting from 7th July and will last till 22 September. As selected by Tiesto himself, other DJs that would be performing as Residents at the club would be Sander Van Doorn, Cosmic Gate, Chris Lake, Mat-Zo, Andy Duguid and Alex Kunnari.
