Cypress Hill is a hip hop and rap band belonging to California. The band has the honor of being the very first American-Cuban band to have multi platinum and platinum albums. They have sold more than eighteen million records across the globe. Now they are going to bring their music to your own town and you can be there to attend the concert with Cypress Hill tickets which have now been made available.
Cypress Hill was formed in 1988 when the Reyes brothers teamed up with Louis Freese and Lawrence Muggerud to form a band named Devastating Vocal Excellence, under hip hop genre. Soon the named was changed to Cypress Hill, after a South Gate street. In 1989, the band released a demo and managed to land a contract with Columbia Records. In August of 1991, their self titled debut album hit the market. The title song The Phuncky Feel One/How I Could Just Kill a Man which was A-side double was an instant hit and received big airplay on college and urban radio stations.
Cypress Hill's debut album had two more albums that were grand hits, Latino Lingo, the one with English and Spanish mixed lyrics and Hand on the Pump. Because of the immense success of these three songs, the album managed to sell around two million copies within the United States alone. In 1992, the band also performed at Lollapalooza. The group released their second studio album named "Black Friday" in 1993 and it made it to Billboard 200 at number one position, bringing them to the limelight. At that time, it was the highest recorded Soundscan for rap group.
Cypress Hill during the mid 90s also became the only rap group to have two albums in Billboard 200 Top Ten list. Black Friday was triple platinum certified after the single,"Insane in the Brain" from it became a crossover hit. The album managed to sell 3.25 million copies across the globe. The same year they headlined Soul Assassins tour with Funkdoobiest and House of Pain as the support bands. After that they joined a college tour with Seven Year Bitch and Rage Against the Machine. Two of their tracks were later that year included in Judgment Night in collaboration with Pearl Jam on songs I Love You Mary Jane and Sonic Youth.
Cypress Hill gave the theme song of WWE star Tazz. The track was titled Just Another Victim. Their album "Till Death Do Us Part" was released in March of 2004. It was the first time that the band experimented with reggae, that was especially heard on the lead song What's Your Number. The same year, their song How I Could Just Kill A Man was selected to be featured in the famous game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. Next year, the band released their Greatest Hits compilation.
Cypress Hill's eighth and latest album "Rise Up" hit the market in April of 2010 and was followed by their tour in support of it which went successful. Experimenting still with the music, in 2012 the band collaborated with the famous dubstep artist Rusko. Their EP by the name of "Cypruss X Rusko" hit the market in June, which was yet another successful attempt at trying something new. The same year, they collaborated with yet another dubstep famous name Deadmau5 on the bands sixth studio album titled "Album Title Goes Here." After all these experimentations and new tracks queued up, now the band is coming to your own city to rock the stage. If you are a rap, dubstep and hip hop fan you must attend their concert and for that you can get Cypress Hill tickets booked.
