The first Beyond Wonderland festival dates back to the 20^th of March, 2010. The inaugural festival was held at the National Orange Show Events Center in San Bernardino, California. The show was a success featuring performances by very popular artists to a sold out crowd, the likes of which included Sander van Doom, Groove Armada, Pendulum, Wippenberg, Caspa, Robbie Rivera as well as Paul van Dyk. The Insomniac Events announced Beyond Wonderland as a sister festival of Nocturnal Wonderland, which was previously known as the Nocturnal Festival. The Nocturnal Festivals were changing considerably and the fans of Insomniac Events demanded the revival of the vibrant environments that the Nocturnal Festival once had hailed. This is why, Insomniac Events formed the Beyond Wonderland festival, believing that it could provide that vibrant environment. After the success of the first show, the Beyond Wonderland festival returned to the National Orange Show Events Center in San Bernardino, California on the 19^th of March, 2011 as well as on the 17^th of March, 2012. Both of these events were completely sold out and did not disappoint the fans.

The 2011 event featured Dirty South, Datsik, Infected Mushroom, Cosmic Gate, Noisia, Showtek, Dirtyphonicis, Kaskade and Calvin Harris, whereas the 2012 show lineup included ATB, Magnetic Man, Netsky, Sidney Samson, John Digweed, Hardwell and Steve Aoki from the Far East Movement. Along with these fantastic musicians, the 2012 event had a special showing of A State Of Trance with notable artists like Armin van Buuren, Aly & Fila, Arty, John O'Callaghan, Sied van Riel, Gareth Emery and Fei Fei. The whole event is fun and exciting filled with new adventures just waiting to be explored.

The Beyond Wonderland festival features various stages of electronic music and genres like House, Drum & Bass, Trance, Dubstep and Ambient as well as extraordinary landscape of interactive art, modern art sculptures, dangling aerialists, beautiful fire twirlers, pyrotechnics, light maze and many other spectacular special effects.
