Quint has been the brain behind another famous festival New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival which is being held since 1970. He is the director and producer of the event and under the banner of his own company Festival Productions Inc.-New Orleans (FPI-NO) he has turned it into one of the most famous events in history.
 
Davis had been thinking of staging a festival in the area of Louisiana for quite some time to expand his company and add another venue to the ever increasing impressive list of events FPI-NO was staging at various parts of the US. The management of another event the Essence Music Festival, which was organized by the FPI-NO, replaced the company with another sponsor in 2007. That forced Davis to speed up the process of realizing his year's long dream to hold the Bayou Country Superfest in Louisiana.
 
Davis stuck a partnership between FPI-NO and AEG which was an LA based company to stage the first ever edition of the Bayou Country Superfest. The hard work to stage the festival had just started because it was to be the first ever concert to be staged at the Tiger Stadium in its eight odd year history. A lot of lobbying was done to get the Baton Rouge and LSU officials on their side which eventually proved successful. The support for the festival continued to come when three hundred thousand dollars were donated by the Visitors Bureau and the Baton Rouge Area Convention. A further three hundred thousand dollars came their way from the Baton Rouge Metro Council.
 
All the support enabled Davis and his partners to go about setting up the festival which was to attract thousands of people from all over the country for its debut event. The Bayou Country Superfest's first event was held very successfully in 2010 which was attended by a huge crowd. Country music superstars like Taylor Swift, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, Justin Moore and Kellie Pickler etc completed the line up of the artists that performed at the event. The event not only gave the fans a beautiful event but also helped in attracting tourism for the area.
 
The Bayou Country Superfest is not about music only; it is about entertaining fans like they had never been entertained before. One of the major attractions for the visitors is the Tailgate party, accompanied by food, drinks and various other sorts of entertainment, held in the parking areas of the stadium. Tailgating has become synonymous with LSU games held at the TigerStadium and that trend was directly incorporated in the festival as well.
