With Dahlback, he released "Don't Hold Back", which was warmly received in his native country. Round about this time it could be argued that he had made a name for himself in music re-mixing business and was being noticed by bigger and better known recording labels. Perhaps for this reason he signed up with EMI Music Publishing. EMI, in addition to being member of the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) is also the fourth biggest recording label. So signing up with them opened up a whole new world and a bigger market to the young DJ! With his new recording label behind him, he was making even better music, and was started to be heard all over Europe and North America.

In collaboration with David Guetta, he released "Sunshine", which was nominated for a Grammy in the "Best Dance Recording" category. Singers like Flo Rida and Leona Lewis have sampled his works like "Levels", and "Penguin". With the release of "Seek Bromance", he achieved newer heights of fame in his native Sweden and in several other European countries.

 
Avicii describes artists Daft Punk, Eric Prydz, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Laidback Luke, as biggest influences on his work. These are all first-class, world-renowned artists! In a statement released on his behalf in April, 2011, he was especially thankful to his manager for being such huge influence on him. Although, Avicii has produced and re-mixed loads of stuff to date, it is however pertinent to mention that singles like "Levels", "Fade into Darkness", "My Feelings for You", and "Seek Bromance", have done exceedingly well. All of these numbers have either been certified platinum or gold records. And in the case of "Fade into Darkness", the single achieved double-platinum status.
