Born in 1984, Abel Pintos is a renowned singer and songwriter. He was born in Bahía Blanca and raised in Cutral Co. Abel's journey as a musician began at the age of seven when he sang in tribute to José de San Martín at a school function. The delegate of the municipality was present in the audience and enjoyed Pintos marvelous voice live on stage. The delegation invited him to 'the anniversary of the founding of Ingeniero White' to sing in commemoration. He presented songs by León Gieco, Horacio Guarani and Victor Heredia at the communal feast . This spectacular performance brought fame to the artist and marked the beginning of his career as a musician.
This gifted artist progressed professionally by chance and a long series of coincidences. One of the most popular singers of tango from Argentina, Raul Lavie, travelled to Bahia Blanca to perform for the show "Tango in the Bay". It was there that Raul had the chance to hear Abel sing live. Fortunately, Abel had a recorded cassette of his songs on him that day which he passed on to the tango singer. Raul passed on the recordings to Inurrigarro Pity and then to producer Leon Gieco. After listening to his compositions, Pity offered Abel to be a part of his production company. Accepting the offer, Abel travelled to Buenos Aires where he met Leon Gieco in person.
In collaboration with Leon, this child prodigy released his first album, To sing I was Born in 1998, at the age of thirteen. The album was produced and sponsored by Leon himself. The album consists of eighteen songs based on the writings of authors such as Carlos Carabajal, Raúl Carnota, César Isella and more. The album's first song, "To sing I was born" won significant awards at folk festivals around the country. During the thirty eight-th edition of the Festival of Cosquín, Abel made an appearance thrice on the biggest stage. He played famous songs from his first album including "When dawn comes" and "The 180".
Receiving excellent response from the audience during his first performance, the intrigued organizers invited him to conduct more shows at the festival. This spectacular artist is bringing his folk and pop music to Luna Park, Buenos Aires. Purchase Abel Pintos tickets for your loved ones and enjoy tuneful music to the fullest.
Pintos once again shared the stage with Leon to perform at the event organized by the Municipality of the City of Buenos Aires. Given the success and gold certification of his first album, Abel released another album titled, Every Day A Little in 1999. For this album, the innovative artist meteorically blended the original compositions with classical themes of popular music. This brilliant mix led to widespread appreciation of his voice and talent. The theme songs included "The Tucumanita" by Atahualpa Yupanqui, "La Pera Sacha" by Cuti Carabajal, "Viva Chacarera" by Horacio Fontova and more. The musicians who accompanied Abel for his studio recordings and performances included his father, Raul Pintos on precussions, his brother Ariel Pintos on guitar with arrangements by Diego Simonovich.
In 2001 he released his third album - Things Heart, which had musical compositions by Martin Carrizo. The recordings were done in Palermo Viejos. His seventh album Golden Dreams was the biggest hit of his fifteen year recording career. It was categorized as the best-selling album of 2012.
