In 2004, Skrillex tried to contact Matt Good of From First to Last band and offered to play guitar for the band. After being heard from three notable studio producers of the time, Skrillex became the band's lead guitarist and entered the professional world of music. In 2004, when the group released its first full length record "Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Body Count", it also featured incredible guitar solos by Skrillex. He also appeared on the band's second album and embarked on several successful tours as its member.
In 2007, Skrillex announced his resignation from the band to pursue a solo career. His first solo work included three demos that he put on his Myspace page, Signal, Glow Worm and Equinox. The ambitious star continued performing and touring all the while and started making name in electronic dance genre. These extended plays have featured combination of Deadmau5 style of electronic dance music and The Chemical Brothers' manner of noisy beats and tunes. This has not only distinguished his works from other contemporaries, but has also allowed him to successfully carve a niche for himself in the music world.
