In the 1970's being ruled as the numero uno city and then being the second largest city of Canada till date, Montreal is one of the most bold and beautiful site to visit with French as its language extracted from France. Founded in the year 1993, the team is accredited with American Soccer Pyramid. Presently, the soccer team plays at the renowned Saputo Stadium based in Montreal, where the soccer team play their home games. As is the case with every soccer team, Montreal Impact too has a uniform comprising of blue and white colors.
The Saputo stadium is a purpose built ground which accommodates a capacity of 13,500 supporters and fans divided into three main stands. One more reason for the stadium to be known to many is its location. Saputo stadium resides just east of the Montreal Olympic stadium in the east end of the city.
Before moving to the Saputo stadium, the Impact team initiated their games at another complex and then gradually entered the present stadium till today. Following a tragedy that struck Canadian soccer league, The Impact became a dominant club in the American Professional Soccer League.
Being the outstanding soccer team in Montreal, The impact also faced challenges by its rival partners from the city. But with every contest with the rivals, the confidence level in facing challenges of playing under pressure strengthens a lot.
Surprising as it may sound to folks, Montreal Impact also operated an indoor team with many players that were a part of the team since its early play time. The intelligence level was high, as the team also took pre-cautionary measures by setting up a reserve team who would play in the Canadian Soccer League.
While approaching the end of the year2007, rumor was spread about a possible contract move by them to actually take to the Major League Soccer and bring a rise in the soccer graph by suggesting to head towards the North American League.
If such a happening took place where The Impacts would be allowed entry into the Major League Soccer, Montreal Impact would be rated as the second Canadian franchise of the league followed by the Toronto soccer team.
The impacts were a team par excellence who claimed league title by their sheer hard work and immense practicing on the field regardless of the weather conditions that could be a cause of failure to win a match. Montreal Impact being a striker initially did face hard ships by their un inspiring acts.
Once they started off with facing disappointments by showing inefficient performance in the first year. Following the saying to try and try again, after their lackluster first year there was no stopping for the team towards success. As in the year 2004, Montreal Impact defeated different soccer teams who were supposedly un beatable.
The impact finally finished first in the A-Leagues Eastern Conference. And to their utter surprise, The Impact fame attracted more and more people who were now keen in watching the Impact team performing live in the stadium.
The team now bore in a lot of soccer lovers into the stadium which once upon a time bore a half barren look because of the presentation of the team.

The team's mandate was to develop local talent and to serve as a representative of Montreal for tourism purpose. Also it was for the first time in its history, the Montreal Impact contracted players to 10 months out of the year in 2008.
The extended training camp was a first for the Montreal Impact and many in the media have stated that it is a move to next level in professional soccer.
