Talent is always hidden and needs to be nourished. All of us have some unique characteristics for everyone is blessed with some natural gifts. Success is at times much easier to attain for some individuals. They are endowed with conducive environments from the start that enables them to discover their talents at a very young age. One such person is Miranda Lambert, an American country music artist who entered stardom at a very young age!

Miranda Lambert basically gained eminence on the 2003 season of Nashville Star by entering the final round and then finishing at third place. Later on she signed to Epic Records and debuted her “Me and Charlie Talking” that reigns as the first single from her 2005 album Kerosene. The album has been a huge success being certified Platinum in USA. It contains sizzling singles like “New Strings”, “Kerosene” and “Bring Me Down”. All these singles have achieved slots in Top 40 hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. Lambert entered into a contract with Columbia Records Nashville and produced her second album “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend”. The album was released in 2007 and three singles of the track “Gunpowder & Lead”, “Famous in a Small Town” and “More Like Her” fell amongst the Top 20 hits. “Gunpowder & Lead” was distinct by being her first Top 10 country hit for the year (July 2008).

Mirinda Lambert earns her place in history by being the only country female singer with three records debut at #1 on Billboard Country Albums. Being born and raised in Texas, she was taught by her father (a retired police officer turned private investigator) about using guns at a very young age and became an eager deer hunter. She had an exposure to a Garth Brooks concert when she was just nine. The country music show grasped her soul and her world changed altogether. Seeing her interest, her father encouraged her and wrote country music songs for her pushing her to sing in talent contests under his patronage.

Once she unleashed her zeal, there was no looking back. Mirinda Lambert progressed ahead in her career and started being appearing on the Johnny High Country Music Review in Texas. The show also helped LeAnn Rimes with her career launch. Lambert then formed a deal landing a recording session in Nashville, but could not proceed further as she got upset of the genre of music, it being pop. This compelled her to return to Texas and seek guitar playing lessons from her father so she could pen down her own songs. Lambert was still studying in high school when she made debut in professional singing but it was in 2003 when she auditioned for the talent competition Nashville Star.

In September 2003 Mirinda Lambert entered a contract with Epic Records thereby releasing her debut single “Me and Charlie Talking”. The single penetrated the market in summer of 2004 as the number one single to her debut album which grabbed a Platinum certification. Till July 2008, more than 930,000 copies of this album have been sold. Apart from this, four singles of this album have been placed in the Top 40 on the Billboard country charts. Lambert toured with Keith Urban and George Strait in early 2006 while also joining with Dierks Bentley and Toby Keith in 2007.

Lambert released her third album Revolution in September 2009. All but three of the album’s 15 tracks were either written or co-written by her. Veterans like Blake Shelton, Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley helped in the writing of songs as well. Still further on, Mirinda Lambert released an EP titled Dead Flowers which included some editions of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. In April 2009, Lambert debuted her new single “Dead Flowers” at a Music Awards ceremony. Its second single “White Liar” was released on August 2009 while being debuted at #50 on the US Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

The year 2009 also saw her becoming the new face of Cotton Inc.’s revived “The Touch, The Feel of Cotton” campaign. Apart from this, she has starred in ads for cotton. In September 2009, Lambert and her band calmed the audience by performing all the songs on Revolution in sequence at the Ryman Auditorium.
