Coheed Cambria
American rock band Coheed and Cambria was formed in New York as Shabutie. They did not go by the name Coheed and Cambria until 2001, when Nate Kelley left the band.

To date, Coheed and Cambria has released four studio albums, two live albums, and various special-edition releases, with their latest release being Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume Two: No World for Tomorrow in 2007.The band has produced concept albums, revealing the plot of a storyline called The Amory Wars.

Coheed and Cambria came up with their debut album "The Second Stage Turbine Blade" in 2002. The album was released on Equal Vision Records and was influenced by the seminal post-hardcore group At The Drive In.

The album brought Coheed and Cambria underground notoriety. It invited many comparisons to Canadian progressive rock group Rush due to Sanchez's characteristically high vocals and the distinctly technical nature of the music. The band eventually played several tour dates in the United Kingdom and Japan.

In August 2002, Coheed and Cambria went on to start working with manager Blaze James. James had helped propel the band to larger stages and a wider fan base.

Following extensive touring with groups like Breaking Pangaea, Linkin Park and The Used, Coheed and Cambria recorded and launched their second studio album In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth:3.

Once again released on Equal Vision, the album peaked at number 52 on the Billboard charts and was certified Gold by the RIAA. "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3" spawned singles like "A Favor House Atlantic" and "Blood Red Summer" and corresponding videos which received airtime on MTV.

An August 2004 show at New Jersey's Starland Ballroom became the band's first live DVD, Live at the Starland Ballroom. It was issued in March 2005.

Coheed and Cambria issued their third release I'm Burning Star IV on major label Good Apollo: Volume One, selling almost 1 million copies.

The album reached at number 7 on the Billboard charts and spawned three hit singles: "Welcome Home", "The Suffering", and "Ten Speed (Of God's Blood and Burial)". Also was shown the band"s departure from their previous melodic post-hardcore influenced rock toward a progressive rock sound.

After undergoing several line-up changes, Coheed and Cambria continued touring, headlining the 2007 Warped Tour, and the 2008 Kerrang! Tour in the United Kingdom with Madina Lake, Fightstar and Circa Survive.

The band opened for Linkin Park's 25-city US tour, and as a result, canceled their performances on Australia's Soundwave Festival.

They also went on a four month long world tour beginning in January 2008 and performed on Jimmy Kimmel on March 5, 2008. The Band has announced that the next album is probably a year away, and will visit the origins of the characters Coheed & Cambria.

Neverender, a four night concert series is going to be held on November 5, 6, 7 and 8th in Los Angeles. Each of the band's studio albums will be played in full each night, telling the story of Coheed and Cambria in sequence.

Coheed & Cambria was nominated for Best International Band and won Best Music Video (for "Feathers") in the 2008 Kerrang Awards. The band recently covered their version of "The Trooper" by Iron Maiden.
