Buzzfest is the name of two unrelated rock festivals held usually in the late summer annually in Houston and Nashville is a bi-annual show hosted by the radio station 94.5 "The Buzz,". Buzzfest has several big name artists performing on the main stage, along other signed, but lesser known bands, who perform on a second stage. Although the vast majority of the artists who perform are classified as Alternative Rock, the music varies greatly and several different genres are represented on both stages. Artists that have performed at Buzzfest include: Staind, Three Days Grace, Breaking Benjamin, SOiL, Cowboy Mouth, Evans Blue, Mudvayne, Powerman 5000, Saliva, Sevendust, Cold, Earshot, Lit, Burden Brothers, The Exies, Die Trying, Velvet Revolver, Socialburn, The Music, Authority Zero, Our Lady Peace, Art Alexakis, Sum 41, Smile Empty Soul, Black Stone Cherry, and Nickelback, amongst others.

The second of two Buzzfests scheduled for 2007 (Known as Buzzfest XX (20)), pit tickets sold out in 15 minutes when tickets went on sale. It will take place in The Woodlands, Texas at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion on October 28, 2007. The October 2007 concert features the following artists on the main stage. Smashing Pumpkins: It is the American alternative rock band that formed in Chicago in 1988. While the group has gone through several lineup changes, The Smashing Pumpkins consisted of Billy Corgan (vocals/guitar), James Iha (guitar/vocals), D'arcy Wretzky (bass/vocals), and Jimmy Chamberlin (drums/percussion) for most of the band's recording career.

Chris Cornell:
He is an American musician best known as the lead singer, guitarist and songwriter of the rock bands Soundgarden (1984-1997) and Audioslave (2001-2007). Evanescence: It is a Grammy Award-winning American alternative rock band founded in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1998 by singer Amy Lee and former guitarist Ben Moody. After recording two private EPs, and a demo CD named Origin with the help of Bigwig Enterprises, the band released their first full-length album, Fallen, on the Wind-up Records label in 2003. Fallen sold more than 14 million copies worldwide and helped the band win two Grammy Awards. After abrupt changes to the band's lineup, Evanescence released their second studio album, The Open Door, in 2006.

Evans Blue:
A rock band from Toronto, Ontario, Canada founded in 2005, Evans Blue came together in early 2005. Five musicians in three separate bands, met through a local musician's message board. The name was suggested by the lead singer Kevin Matisyn, which refers to the dye that is injected into the bloodstream to measure blood volume. Alter Bridge: An American rock band formed by Mark Tremonti, Brian Marshall and Scott Phillips, with Myles Kennedy as lead vocals and guitar formerly of The Mayfield Four.Alter Bridge released their debut album One Day Remains on August 10, 2004 along with their first single "Open Your Eyes", which was followed by "Find The Real" and "Broken Wings". Sum 41: A Canadian punk rock band from Ajax, Ontario has the current members Deryck Whibley (lead vocals, guitar, keyboard/piano), Cone McCaslin (bass/vocals), and Steve Jocz (drums/vocals). While signing an international record deal with Island Records in 1999, the band has released five studio albums, two live CDs, two live DVDs, more than ten singles, and sold millions of copies worldwide. As of 2006, the band performed more than 600 times and has become famous for their world tours that often last for more than a year.

Fuel:
Fuel is a rock band formed by Carl Bell, Jeff Abercrombie, and Brett Scallions in 1989. They are well known for their hit songs "Hemorrhage (In My Hands)" and "Shimmer" from their albums Something Like Human and Sunburn, respectively.
