New Album, New Tour ? Shepherd Takes the Fans on a Retrospective Journey

In 2014, Kenny Wayne Shepherd treated the fans to his 7^th studio album and it features songs and some covers that first ignited his love for blues. The aptly titled ?Goin' Home? was recorded in Shepherd's hometown Shreveport, Louisiana and pays tributes to the artists who influenced his early work. Kenny Wayne along with his band members, Chris Layton (drums), Tony Franklin (bass) and Riley Osbourn (keys), covered the blues classics by Albert King, Muddy Waters, Freddie King, Magic Sam, Stevie Ray Vaughan and B.B. King. The album is a pure hardcore blues effort as earlier the artist had flirted with contemporary pop-influenced sound as well.
