The Rockland Boulders are a new team but they have already started to make waves having a plan to reach the top sooner rather than later. It hasn't been long since they started their journey in the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball (Can-Am) League but the management in doing all it can to put the proper foundations in place for the team to go all the way to the top of the pile. They need the backing of their fans and the best way to do that is by buying Rockland Boulders tickets and watching them at the stadium.
The Boulders became a part of the league for the 2011 campaign. They are based in the County of Rockland, a place that has sufficient boulders as part of its landscape so that is where the name of the team takes its origins from. The Rockland Boulders started their debut preseason camp on 19th May, 2011. Their first win in those friendly games came against the New York Federals by a score of 6-3. That was followed up by an away win against the Newark Bears by 4-1. The Boulders play their home games at the Provident Bank Park. Construction on the ball park began on 10th September, 2010 and it opened its gate for the public on 16th June, 2011. It is an amazing stadium that was named the Can-Am League Playing Surface of the Year in 2011. It has four thousand five hundred seats to go with eleven loge and sixteen luxury boxes.
The franchise made their debut in the league on 26th May, 2011 when they took on the Newark Bears at the Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium. They celebrated the opening of their home ballpark by beating the Brockton Rox 3-1 on 16th June, 2011. The game against the Quebec Capitals on 24th July, 2011 turned out to be a historic occasion. At the bottom of the ninth innings and with two players out, Joe Hage hit the first grand slam ever for the Boulders as they recorded a 7-4 win. Owing to the construction of their stadium they had to hit the road for the first twenty games of the season. Still one-hundred twenty-three thousand five-hundred and eighteen fans went to the ball park to catch their team clinch the second spot.
The Rockland Boulders have certainly started life in the league on a positive note. They have made all the right choices till now and if that is any indication then bigger and better things are around the corner. As with any sports team, one of the biggest factors in their rise to the top is the support of the fans for they are the ones who fill stadiums and root for their teams through thick and thin. Buy your Rockland Boulders tickets and play your part in the success of your team like true fans.
