Potomac Nationals
The Potomac Nationals one of the famous minor league baseball teams in the United States. The team is located in Woodbridge of Virginia. The Nationals play in the high-A Carolina League and they are the affiliates of the Washington Nationals.
The team had started to play in the year of 1978 with the name of Alexandria Dukes. The Dukes had made a move from Alexandria in 1984 season and got the name of the Prince William Pirates. It was called the Prince William Yankees from the time, later it had other shifts in name like Prince William Cannons, Potomac Cannons, and at present the Potomac Nationals.
The team has a history of affiliations with the Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Yankees, Chicago White Sox, St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds, and now the Washington Nationals. After moving to Woodbridge, the team has played all their home games at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium, which has a seating capacity of 6,000 people.
The Nationals work for the charitable causes and even offer discounted Grandstand tickets, which you may then sell to as much of the people anyone with cause wants. It is a rule that the minimum number of 125 tickets must be purchased to participate in the fundraising program.
If you are interested in participating in the P-Nats fundraising program, you can get a promotion for your non-profit organization on the video board and will receive a public address welcome during the game. There is also an opportunity that one non-profit per game will be offered a special status and it will receive the opportunity to have a table set up in the stadium for the promotional campaign.
There are no exchanges or refunds for unused tickets. Official rainout tickets may be exchanged for a future 2008 Potomac Nationals home game. It is also to be noted that fundraising tickets are available for every Potomac Nationals home game except for Saturdays and July 4th.
In case any company wants to reach up to the target customers at the ballpark, Stadium Signage is the most visible way to put your company name in front several hundred thousand potential customers at Pfitzner Stadium.
There are so many places like the Outfield Billboards and even the restroom stalls, where the company's profile can be placed and highlighted. It is a form of a image building marketing, and it is highly rated and it is useful in putting value and prestige for any business. It is an agreement that all signage will remain up for the entire year, not just for the Nationals' season.
The team is working at a faster pace under the supervision of Randy Knorr, who has recently completed his second season as manager of the Potomac Nationals and his third season overall as a minor league manager.
The team also became just the second full-season Nationals affiliate in the organization's brief three-year history to finish with a winning record joining the 2006 Triple-A New Orleans Zephyrs. He has guided the P-Nats to a 32-36 record in 2006 before being called up to Washington on June 16 to serve as the bullpen coach.
In 2005 he managed the Savannah Sand Gnats of the Low-A South Atlantic League to a 62-76 record. Overall, Knorr is 163-180 as a manager in three minor league seasons.
