For fans of metal, particularly its death metal sub-genre, a spectacular concert by the name of A Taste of Mayhem is set to take place at the Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, Colorado. The concert will feature Cannibal Corpse, Emmure, Suicide Silence, Miss May I, Mushroomhead, Texas Hippie Coalition, Ill Nino, Veil of Maya, Darkest Hour, Upon a Burning Body, Islander, Wretched, and King 810. These amazing metal bands can be seen live in concert in Denver, Colorado after grabbing hold of A Taste of Mayhem tickets.
Cannibal Corpse will be headlining at the A Taste of Mayhem. The band from Buffalo, New York, is a death metal band that has been active since 1988. They have churned out some of the most brutal metal music, and some of the most controversial. Signed onto the Metal Blade record label, Cannibal Corpse has been releasing music for several decades now. They have also been associated with the likes of Deicide, Blotted Science, Monstrosity, Malevolent Creation, Nevermore, Six Feet Under, Slayer and Solstice. Corpse's members today are Paul Mazurkiewicz, Rob Barrett, Alex Webster, George Fisher and Pat O'Brien.
Cannibal Corpse's albums have been widely acclaimed all over the world. So far, the band has released twelve studio albums, four video albums, two box sets and a live album. With two of its albums selling more than a million copies each, they are the one of the best selling death metal bands in the US. They were inspired by the likes of Kreator and Slayer and have gone on to become icons in their own right. Controversial, critically acclaimed and popular at the same time, they will be joined at Mayhem by Suicide Silence, yet another phenomenal metal act.
Suicide Silence is a native of Riverside, California. The deathcore band has been active since 2002 and has released music via Century Media and Nuclear Blast. The band has also performed with Light This City, All Shall Perish, The Funeral Pyre, Animosity and many more. Members of Suicide Silence include lead vocalist Hernan Hermida, guitarist Mark Heylmun, guitarist Chris Garza, bassist Dan Kenny and drummer Alex Lopez. The band's music, a marriage of metalcore and death metal, also shows influences from many genres of metal including black metal. Their vocals range from death metal growls to high pitched black metal screams. Their drumming is fast, influenced by grindcore and filled with double bass drumming. Suicide Silence's influences include Cannibal Corpse, Sepultura, Meshuggah, Napalm Death, Nile and even Slipknot.
At the Mayhem concert in Denver, Colorado, Emmure, yet another deathcore band will be performing. Hailing from Queens, New York, Emmure has been playing its blend of metalcore and nu metal since 2003. Their music has been released by Victory Records and their members are Frankie Palmeri, Mark Davis, Jesse Ketive and Mike Mulholland.
The band's first two demos led to their being signed onto This City Is Burning Records. They then signed with Victory Records after the release of their EP, leading to their first studio album in 2007 titled Goodbye to the Gallows.
Emmure has since then released 2008's The Respect Issue, 2009's Felony, 2011's Speaker of the Dead and their most recent, 2012's Slave to the Game.
Miss May I, a metalcore band from Troy, Ohio is also set to headline the concert. Active since 2006, the band has released its music via Rise Records and has a discography filled with many popular singles and albums. Its members are Levi Benton, Jerod Boyd, Ryan Neff, B. J. Stead and Justin Aufdemkampe.
Miss May I's albums and songs have made it up the Billboard 200, Top Independent Albums and Billboard Top Heatseekers chart. Their songs have been featured on soundtracks for movies such as Saw VI and on video games such as Saints Row: The Third. Albums by the band include 2010's Monument, 2012's At Heart and 2014's Rise of the Lion. They can be seen live at this concert after getting hold of A Taste of Mayhem tickets.
