London Knights tickets bring to you an exciting game of ice hockey by the talented junior team playing in the Ontario Hockey League in the Western Conference, Midwest division. The official colors of the team are green, gold, white and black. Throughout the year it has produced some of the finest players that include impressive names like Patrick Kane, Rick Nash, John Tavares, Corey Perry, Chris Kelly and Dennis Wideman.
The history of the London Knights can be traced back to 1965, when it played with the name London Nationals, a name later changed to London Knights in 1968. London National played their first season as a sponsored junior team affiliated with NHL'S Toronto Maple Leafs. The name, The Nationals came from the sponsor but when three years later Howard Darwin took over he changed it to Knights marking the end of its relationship with Toronto Maple Leafs. During the three years it was Brian Murphy who played the most games.
For a fresh start the name and the colors were changed. Don Brankley was hired as a trainer who continued with his services till 2008. It was in the 1976-77 season that the impressive Knights team managed to emerge as the winners defeating the St. Catharines Fincups in the conference final. The team made it to the OHL final against 67's but could not secure a victory.
The team saw its tough times when it went under Tarry ownership. At the time various changes to logos, colors and even a name change was made. However, not much worked out and the period from 94 till 2000 proved to be quite rough until the team signed the future NHL players Rico Fata and Tom Kostopoulos. Knights in 1999 made their way to the OHL championship. It was in 2000, when Dale Hunter and Mark Hunter bought the Knights and gave them back their old green and gold colors that things started to change for good. Dale Hunter serves as the head coach and Mark Hunter as the General Manager for the team. Together both of them pulled the team back together and gave it a series of successes envied by others.
The 2003-2004 OHL season turned out to be a success, with Knights having the best record in the CHL and also setting an OHL record. The next season they broke the CHL record with an impressive thirty one continuous wins and their own OHL record of the previous season. After this they went on to win various tournaments and championships delighting their fans with their passionate play and exceptional wins. They also won the Memorial Cup in 2005.
