The Heavy Montréal Festival is back with its hard rock and heavy metal music. Scheduled to be held at the Parc Jean-Drapeau, the largest heavy-metal festival in Canada is expected to draw more than seventy thousand visitors, just like its previous editions. The lineup for the event has recently been announced with Metallica and Slayer headlining the event along with Lamb of God. The festival has many surprises in store for the attendees, including a trio of Japanese girls, Babymetal. It is hardly surprising to see fans buying the Lamb of God - Day tickets in such large amounts for this forthcoming extravaganza. Get your tickets and prepare to join the incredible experience.
The Grammy nominated, Lamb of God is one of the most enticing features of the upcoming festival. The group has been one of the most consistent among its contemporaries and has performed with an uncompromising approach towards heavy metal. This has not only garnered respect for the band but also legions of fans worldwide.
It has been two decades since the band came into formation. Four college fellows Mark Morton, Matt Conner, Chris Adler and John Campbell came together in 1994 and created the music group 'Burn the Priest.' They released their self-titled debut album in 1999 after a successful demo and two split EPs.
Before releasing their sophomore record, the band changed its name to Lamb of God. In 2000, the second studio album "New American Gospel" came out and allowed the band to cement its position as a premier metal band. The music in this record maintained the nineties' insistence on riff-construction and focused on technicalities.
For the next two years, the band continued touring and performing country wide while working on their third album. "As the Palaces Burn" released in 2003 and showcased the evolution of the group musically. It debuted at number thirty-one on Billboard's Top Music Video chart. Lamb of God also got a slot to perform at the first ever Headbangers Ball Tour.
By the mid 2000s, Lamb of God had become a complete metal renaissance band. They had rewritten the rules, drafted a new playbook and had raised the standards multifold. Despite the fact that this was the time when metal bands were springing up everywhere and the competition was constantly rising in the industry, Lamb of God remained ahead of the curve.
In 2012, the group released its seventh and latest studio album. Titled "Resolution", it incorporated all the possible angles covered under the genre of heavy metal. With three Grammy nominations, several chart topping singles, multiple entries into the Top 10 on the Billboard's Top 200 and multiple platinum DVDs, the group is on its way to the heavy Montréal Festival now. Get your tickets at the earliest so you do not miss the band's live performance.
Since the first edition of the festival six years ago, until last year, Heavy Montréal has been the biggest live heavy metal event in Canada. The event has been attended by legendary names like Iron maiden, Megadeth, Avenged Sevenfold and Marilyn Manson among many others. Last year's event also included a live pro wrestling show featuring independent wrestlers from Montreal. The management of the show might have another surprise for the visitors again this year. This year's attractions also include Metallica and Slayer. Metallica is perhaps the biggest heavy metal band in the world, in terms of popularity. Slayer is another legendary name in the genre.
Now you can also get the two-day passes for the festival that will allow you to attend the event for two days. Hurry to grab your Lamb of God - Day tickets before they are all sold out.
