Jim Breuer
An American comedian and actor, Jim Breuer is widely known for his appearance between 1995 and 1998 on Saturday Night Live.
He was born on June 21, 1967 in Valley Stream, just east of the border with New York City. Jim credits XM radio host Ron Bennington, who also hosts The Ron and Fez Show, for helping get his career begun.
But, the show that propelled Jim Breuer to stardom was Saturday Night Life. He broke to mainstream popularity as a cast member for playing such roles as Goat Boy and Glen Henderson. Goat Boy would host the fictional MTV program Hey, Remember the 80s? while Glen Henderson was the elder brother to Chris Kattan's Todd Henderson.
In the 1996, Jim Breuer was scheduled to have been the co-star alongside friend and co-worker Dave Chappelles ill-fated sitcom Buddies. However, later he was pulled from the role and subsequently Buddies was stopped airing after the fifth episode.
Among his impersonations was that of actor Joe Pesci and was often accompanied by Colin Quinn playing fellow actor Robert De Niro. Joe would host Jims own talk show. In an episode of the program during 1997, both Pesci and De Niro confronted Breuer by making surprise appearances.
Also on Jim Breuers credit are his appearances as a sit-in comedian on the Opie and Anthony Show. He hosted the show for many years during their WNEW tenure. Whenever the show was on hiatus, Breuer Bits were played.
Realizing the portential and creative talent of Jim Breuer, he was signed to host the third season of the VH1 show called Web Junk 20 on November 17, 2006.
Jim replaced Patrice Oneal, who conducted the first two seasons of the Web Junk 20. Since the XM/Sirius merger completed, Breuer made his come back in the Opie and Anthony show after six years on August 8th, 2008.
The Opie and Anthony show is not the only one that multi-talented Jim Breuer is working on. He often appears on the Mancow Show and the Howard Stern show. Fans can hear their favorite stand-up comedian Jim Breuer on a show called Breuer Unleashed regularly on weekdays.
Breuer Unleashed broadcasts on the Sirius Satellite Radio channel Raw Dog Comedy. Jim hosts this show with a co-host, Pete Correale. He also guest starred in a program called Home Improvement. As of July 17th, 2008, Jim Breuer performed his Brian Johnson signature Hokey Pokey with AC/DC.
The following month of the same year saw Jim Breuer making a special surprise appearance at the 2008 Opie and Anthony Traveling Virus Tour. This was Jims first appearance on Opie and Anthony after 6 months.
This happened after the merger between XM Satellite Radio and Sirius Satellite Radio took place. Breuer planned on doing ten minutes as a quick hello to the fans, but ended up doing about 40 straight minutes to a huge ovation.
In addition to appearing on programs and conducting shows, Jim Breuer also managed to play roles in a couple of movies. In 1998, a movie called Half Baked appeared, starring Dave Chappelle, Jim Breuer, Harland Williams and Guillermo D?az. The movie proved to be a cult classic, heralded by many as Dave Chappelle's comic breakthrough.
At present, Jim Breuer is living in Chester Township, New Jersey and is all-set to begin his tour. He is sure to be coming to your city soon, so grab your tickets and let your hearts laugh aloud.
