Bill Burr is a well-known American radio host, actor and stand-up comedian. Among the stand-up comedy circuit observers of the United States, Burr has often been called the 'comedian’s comedian,' as a way of acknowledging that the artist’s work is appreciated as well as followed by other professional comedians. Burr has performed on many television shows such as Comedy Central Presents, TonightShow with Conan O’Brien, Late Show with David Letterman, and Late Night with Conan O’Brien, among several others. One of his most recent shows is called Let It Go, which premiered in 2010 on Comedy Central and was made in San Francisco at the Fillmore. Burr is known to perform more than three hundred shows every year and since 2007, has been recording a one-hour long weekly podcast which serves as a regular frontier through which the artist expresses himself openly and in an off-the-cut style about life experiences, touring plans as well as sports. Bill Burr tickets are a talk of town among comedy fans that enjoy Burr’s unreserved manner of sharing thoughts.
Bill Burr entered the line of stand-up comedy at the age of twenty-three after majoring in Radio at Emerson College, during which time he did an early morning show on his college radio. By 1995 he relocated to NYC and spent eight months there before moving to Los Angeles, where he got to work on several television projects and films. In the beginning of 2004, Burr made an appearance on Chappelle’sShow in two of its episodes, and in the following year he had his own special on HBO called OneNightStand. With several projects underway, the man has appeared as a guest comedian on TV and Radio shows such as XM Satellite Radio’s Opie and Anthony Show and Bob and Tom Show.
In December 2006, Bill Burr did a three-hour show on the XM radio channel called The Virus, in Opie and Anthony’s Uninformed with Joe DeRosa & Bill Burr, which he was the host of. The second of these shows was aired in February 2007, and has consistently been aired since then after almost every month. After Burr relocated to Los Angeles, the show has basically taken the form of a pre-taped session instead of a live one, and a collection of its free podcasts is available online.
In 2007, Bill Burr was offered a contract by Colorado based indie label called What Are Records?, with which he released an extension of his 2003 album Emotionally Unavailable in October. The album comprises of a totally unedited set in which the artist has covered various topics such as rednecks, inadvertent racism, subway interactions with crazy people and books on relationships. This was followed by the release of an Expanded Edition, which contains unissued highlights of Burr’s I’m Rich Biatch Tour from when the artist made a stop in Houston. A lot of material used in this tour was brought up on his stand-up special on HBO. His other albums include Why Do I DoThis released in 2008 and Let It Go released in 2010. His voice has been featured in the Grand Theft Auto IV game, in which he plays Jason Michaels from the biker gang known as the lost MC on the mission called ‘No Love Lost’. Burr reprised the same role in 2009, in an expansion pack of the game titled The Lost and Damned. The artist made an appearance in the film Date Night playing the character of Detective Walsh. He has played the character of Kuby on Breaking Bad on AMC, in its fourth season.
