The most famous, profitable and largest event of the United States, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has finally confirmed its lineup for 2014. The list of artists was announced earlier this year and was no less than a treat for all music lovers. Planned for two weekends, the festival will feature more than 150 acts including Lana Del Ray, Ellie Goulding, Lorde and Pharrell Williams. The festival will be headlined by Arcade Fire, Outkast and Muse. Indie music fans must be happy to know that Arcade Fire will be closing on all Sundays. Arcade Fire - Day tickets are now available.
Entering the international music scene in 2004 with its album 'Funeral', Arcade Fire has evolved into one of the most commercially and critically successful bands active today. Constantly exploring new musical instruments and styles, it has a diverse profile of elaborately structured songs like The Suburbs, Reflektor and Wakeup. Arcade Fire has been nominated for Woodie Awards in the category of 'Best New Artist' and is awaiting results.
Following its third album 'The Suburbs', the band worked on its fourth release for three years and in 2013 presented the fans with 'Reflektor'. The album was a perfect reflection of the band members' talents and was received with positive reviews. Rolling Stones gave it four and a half stars and called it 'one of the best albums Arcade Fire has ever made'. It also ranked at the fifth position on the '50 Best Albums of 2013' and was appreciated for being able to provoke feelings in the listeners. It sales accounted to 140,000 in the first week of release and reached number one spot on the Billboard 200 Charts. To celebrate the success of its brand new release, Arcade Fire is all set to ignite the stage of Coachella Music Festival this year.
Arcade Fire follows a strategy to experiment with new tunes and gives its fans a reason to anticipate its upcoming releases. Its fourth studio album, Reflektor is a transition of sound from its previous releases and features a mix of indie dance beats that proves the band's vast comfort zone. Its first single, Reflektor has a disco element to it and in songs such as Normal Person, instrumentals over power the lyrics and vocals. Joan of Arc has a commendable vintage melody along with the tinge of light punk that offers variety to the listener.
Apart from the transition in sound there is another reason indie rock music lovers look forward to the band's music. Arcade Fire uses a variety of instruments to produce astounding melodies. Guitar, drums, piano, xylophone, keyboard, mandolin and French horn are among its preferred instruments. All the members are adept at playing different instruments.
Arcade Fire's latest release is an impressive collection of pop rock songs that slowly rolls downhill into sonic depths, making it a memorable experience. Some critics have stated that the album's music is similar to that of Rolling Stone's LP, Exile on Main Street, but the band has given it its unique touch.
Arcade Fire's live performances have never been a disappointment for the fans. The band members interact with the audiences and keep them engaged throughout the concert. The upcoming event will be featuring all the hit singles from the band's career. Listen to them live by getting hold of Arcade Fire - Day tickets now.
