The artistic director of the Jo Stromgren Kompany is in a league of his own as he is known for his quirky and humorous dance routines. Jo Stromgren also excels at Henrik Ibsen's plays and has made several productions in Norway. In the year 2003 he also showcased his skills as director through his film Destination Cow which opened to a positive response in Norway and abroad. Crystal Pite is another creative genius who has presented some masterpieces for many ballet companies. Frankfurt Ballet, Ballet British Columbia, Les Ballets Jazz de Montreal, Kidd Pivot, The National Ballet of Canada, Alberta Ballet and Ballet Jorgen Canada are to mention a few. Described as one of the most innovative choreographers by critics, Pite became part of the Ballet British Columbia when she was seventeen years old. Her choreographic skills came to the fore during her eight year affiliation with the company. Between the Bliss and Me is one of her creations she came up with in 1989 which eventually found a spot in the company's repertoire. She received the Clifford E.
