On one hand there is Kenny Shields and Streetheart a complete package in itself that that has captivated millions around the world with their music. Kenny started his love affair with music at a very young age. By the time he was six years old he won an amateur contest that further increased his appetite for music. After finishing his secondary school he re-located to Saskatoon and joined the most popular group of the city, Witness Incorporated. With Kenny's incredible voice leading the vocals the group soon started to tread new waters and become an even bigger rage. Songs like I'll Forget Her Tomorrow, Harlem Lady and Jezebel reached super-hit status and generated a lot of mainstream success for them. When everything was going better than expected tragedy stuck in 1970. Kenny was severely injured in an accident that forced him to remain on the sidelines for five whole years.
1975 marked Kenny's return to the industry when he shifted to Winnipeg to become a member of the group, Wascana. Daryl Gutheil and Spider Sinnaeve were the other members of the band and soon they moved to Saskatoon to re-create Witness. Kenny started touring regularly which put him into the spotlight once again and sales of Shields tickets started to gather pace. Matt Frenette and Paul Dean then came onboard to complete the line-up of a brand new group which was called Streetheart. With such a diverse array of special talent on the roster there was no stopping them as one hit followed another. Songs like Action, Here Comes the Night, Tin Soldier, What Kind of Love Is This, Snow White, Under My Thumb and One More Time all made it to super successful category to enable the band to sell millions of copies. That was the consistent success Kenny had always strived for and after a lot of hard work it had finally arrived. In total six gold albums and four platinum albums were complimented with a Juno Award and many other accolades.

The group was the brainchild of Doug Bennett which became a reality in 1977. Once the line-up was completed the group started to tour around Vancouver by playing gigs across the city. That enabled them to gather a loyal fanbase. They made their debut in 1980 with the song Too Bad. It turned out to be a huge hit that went as high as the number two spot on the CKLG, the top 40 station. 1982 saw the release of Music For The Hard of Thinking which turned out to be a pretty big hit too. More hits like Tomcat Prowl and Propaganda came later to enhance their popularity among the masses.
