Boston Red Sox, since their establishment in 1901, have won a total of 8 series having appeared in 12. The most recent among these World Series was won by the team in 2013. This victory left people shocked as Red Sox had finished in the last place in the 2012 season. Rising from the last place to winning the World Series was an epic victory for them. They defeated St. Louis Cardinals to win the series. Till date, many of the Red Sox players have made it to the Baseball Hall of Fame including George Kell, Babe Ruth and Cy Young, to name a few.
