Details of Bernard Hopkins and the Ticket Luck value

Born on January 15, 1965, Bernard Hopkins A.K.A The Executioner is known for being the undisputed champion as he was the first boxer ever to hold all the major boxing governing body's belts. Over the years, Hopkins has squared off against several renowned boxers like Carl Daniels, Antwun Echols, Oscar De La Hoya and Ronald Wright, and has been able to pull 49 wins with only 5 Losses throughout his lustrous career so far.

Hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Hopkins had a rough early childhood. During his early teen years, Hopkins turned towards crime and was found guilty for nine public offenses after being apprehended by the local authorities. Following his trial, he was sentenced for 18 years of imprisonment when he was only 17 years of age. After witnessing gruesome murders and assaults for a mere pack of cigarettes in the prison, Hopkins decided not to follow that path anymore and his attention turned towards the profession of boxing. After being released from the prison back in 1988, Hopkins embraced Islam and made it in to the boxing ranks as a light heavyweight. The very same year, Hopkins made his debut as a light heavyweight in a bout against Clinton Mitchell, which he lost.

After laying-off for almost six months, Hopkins made his return as a Middleweight, and claimed his first ever victory after he defeated Greg Paige on February 22, 1990. Hopkins rose to success following his first victory, after which his 20-win streak started. He was able to claim substantial fan following between the duration of February 1990, and September 1992, as he won 15 out of his 20 consecutive wins, through knock outs.

After earning his way up to the top, Hopkins or The Executioner, earned his first shot at the IBF Middleweight Championship belt back on May 22, 1993 in a matchup against Roy Jones Jr. Although he lost the fight, but that matchup marked the first big pay day of his career as his purse amounted to $700,000. However, since he wasn't aware of the fact, he only received $80,000 after everyone else claimed their cut out of it. Afterwards, as he said goodbye to the Middle Weight division in 1994, IBF welcomed him under its roof in the very same year and scheduled his matchup against Segundo Mercado. Hopkins wasn't able to come out victorious of that matchup as he was knocked out twice during the matchup. The aforementioned matchup remains the only fixture, ever, during Hopkins' career in which he was knocked out. The following year, the rematch was scheduled for Hopkins in which he stood victorious and became a World Champion. His first championship win gave birth to his successful winning streak in which he successfully defended his World title 20 times and fended off boxing spearheads like Glen Johnson, Simon Brown, John David Jackson and Antwun Echols. Following his successful title defense against, at that time undefeated Glen Johnson, Hopkins ended Johnson's winning streak as well.

Bernard Hopkins also holds the title of being the first ever undisputed Middleweight Champion of the world. The event occurred after the initiation of the series of unification fights between all the major title holders, Welterweight Champion Felix Trinidad made his way to the Middleweight ranks. 2001 Middleweight Unification Fights featured all the four major title holders of that time, William Joppy, Keith Holmes, Felix Trinidad and Hopkins himself. In first two bouts, Hopkins and Trinidad shined out from the rest, as the former one defeated Keith Holmes the WBC Champion of that time with a Unanimous Decision, while the later one claimed his triumph over William Joppy. Since Trinidad knocked Joppy out in five rounds of the bout, Hopkins was considered an "Underdog" in his matchup against Trinidad. After placing a bet of $100,000 on himself, Hopkins met Trinidad in a Middleweight Unification matchup at the Madison Square Garden. As the match went up to the 12th and final round, Hopkins was successful in flooring Trinidad down and claiming the victory over Trinidad after his father jumped into the ring and stopped the fight. This marked the biggest and most memorable moment in his career, as he became the first Undisputed Middleweight champion since Marvin Hagler, who did the same back in 1987.

Even after all these years, Hopkins still proves out to be a worthy contender and goes on to be the benchmark for all the aspiring boxers of our time.

After going through a year-long layoff, Hopkins is scheduled to make his return to the ring once again in a warm up fight against Enrique Ornelas this year in December. Reserve your seats today and grab your Bernard Hopkins tickets today to witness this, epic classic in the making, first hand!
