The Voodoo Experience which is also known as Voodoo Fest is a multi-day arts as well as music festival which is hosted in City Park which is in New Orleans in Louisiana in the United States of America. The first time that this absolutely brilliant festival took place was in 1999 on the weekend of Halloween. Ever since then, the event takes place either on the weekend of Halloween or a weekend prior to it. In 2009, this commendable festival came back on the Halloween weekend.
 
So far the Voodoo Experience has successfully been a host to more than 450 artists and musicians. The festival enjoys a massive fan following that has grown to over a million fans since its conception. It has also successfully been nominated two times for the acclaimed Pollstar's Music Festival of the Year.
 
The Voodoo Experience is well known for bringing together some of the most acclaimed and famous artists from the country who perform on mostly all music genres. When the Voodoo Experience was first held, it was hosted at the Tad Gormley Stadium in City Park. The event had been planned and managed by Steve Rehage who is the CEO of the famous Rehage Entertainment. The first edition of the festival comprised of a total of three stages and included various acts which were local as well as on a national level. This beginning of the festival was rather humble at first. Initially it was a one-day event and the total attendance was of about 8,000 people. At the first event ,Fugees and Wyclef Jean were the headline performers. In 2000, the second time that the event took place, it gained attention with Eminem as the headliner performer. People from all over the country and many parts of the world gathered for the event. In 2006, this world class music fest divided the show into three diverse areas on six stages. Every area was designed in a fashion that would easily display uniquely the various forms of the qualities of the festival and also that of New Orleans. Then in 2007, a new beginning took place and its fans as it successfully expanded itself from a two-day festival to a three-day event. On the 24^th of October in 2008, which was the 10^th edition of the festival, the event was named as "The Tenth Ritual". Also in 2008, the name was changed to Voodoo Experience while the term "music" was removed from its title.
