Founded in 1981, its music has been released by the likes of Nuclear Blast and Def Jam. It has played and collaborated with Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax. The band's members today are Kerry King, Tom Araya, Paul Bostaph and Gary Holt. Millions of the band's albums have been sold worldwide with their unique style of thrash, made up of double bass drumming, irregular riffs, shouted vocals and fast tremolo picking inspiring a whole generation of bands.
