Details of Eye Blind and the Ticket Luck value
Remember the days when grunge and alternative rock were all the rage? It was the time when the bands like Pearl Jam, Nirvana and REM had redefined the pop rock sound. The popularity of hip hop had begun to overshadow the alternative rock movement. At that time, Third Eye Blind started a wave of alternative rock. The band's music inspired many emerging musicians to play the rock 'n' roll genre.
Like most of the notable alternative and grunge bands in the 90s, Third Eye Blind also came from the west coast. The band was formed by Stephan Jenkins, Kevin Cadogan, Brad Hargreaves, Arios Salalzanr, Tony Fredianelli and Abe Millet in the early 90s. It gained instant recognition in the local alternative rock scene in the bay area. Such was its popularity that the Electra Records soon signed a contract with the ensemble. Third Eye Blind remains one of the biggest debuting bands for the label.
Like most rock bands, Third Eye Blind also struggled with its lineup. Many old members left the band, however, the essence of its music remained the same. This is because the main members, Jenkins and Hargreaves are still a part of the band. They experimented with various rhythms and riffs to come up with unique compositions from time to time. Third Eye Blind has always focused on quality. It has released only four studio albums in the last two decades.
Third Eye Blind's self-titled debut album was released by the Electra Records in 1997. It was certified 6x Platinum. The record reached number 25 on the US chart. It comprised iconic songs like “Jumper”, “Semi-Charmed Life” and “Graduate.” The act soon hit the studios and their follow up album “Blue” was released in 1999. Its mature music sound received a lot of appreciation from the critics. It was certified Platinum multiple times in the US.
In Third Eye Blind's next album “Out of the Vein,” the band explored a new style of music. The record reached number twelve on the US chart. The band's latest studio album “Ursa Major” was released in 2009. It reached number three in its first week of release and got several hours of airtime on radio. Apart from hit albums, Third Eye Blind also scored numerous top 100 singles. “Semi Charmed Life” instantly became a number one hit while “Jumper” reached number two on the chart.
Third Eye Blind has racked up an impressive collection of awards. It won the Billboard Music Award for Best Modern Rock Track for the song "Semi Charmed Life” in 1997. The following year it received the California Music Awards in categories including Best Debut, Best Album, Best Songwriting and Outstanding Songwriter. The band received two nominations at the 1999 American Music Awards, one for Best New Pop/Rock Artist and the other for Favorite Alternative Artist. In 1999, the musicians bagged three California Music Awards for the Outstanding Single, Outstanding Group and Outstanding Artist of the Year. Two more California Music Awards came their way in the year 2000.
Since its debut, Third Eye Blind had been very active on the touring front. It has toured across North America and countries including Argentina, Brazil, Spain, England and Australia. The band's live shows are known for their energy and experimentation. The performers interact with the audience and keep them involved throughout the performance.
