Bo Burnham was the youngest child in his family and had an interest in performing since the very beginning. Growing up, while listening to boomer-generation comedians - George Carlin and Richard Pryor, Bo started performing his 'Bo Shows' (skits) when he was only three-years-old. He attended an all-boys Catholic high school, and was nicknamed as 'theatre queer'. While in school, Bo started devoting more of his time to school theatre and continued to garner his love for performance, and received rave reviews from numerous family members. He started practicing playing a piano and a guitar soon, which led him to write and compose songs on his own life. One of his early compositions included 'My Whole Family Thinks I'm Gay', making it sound like non-fictional jokes between him and his friends. By the end of 2006, Bo recorded two videos for his songs and placed them on You Tube. More songs were added during the following eight months, which totaled to seven songs altogether. Till date, Bo's songs have become one of the most viewed videos on You Tube, as they have been seen more than 10 million times throughout the world, entertaining billions and trillions!

This adolescent comedian/singer is also very famous for being the youngest artist to have been recorded on the Comedy Central Records. His first EP had been released in 2008 under this label, and even his first full-length album - Bo Burnham (a double-disc set that contained the Compact Disc album, and a DVD, along with his Comedy Central Presents special, all of his YouTube videos, and other performances)was also recorded on the Comedy Central Records.

This funny little young boy has also performed live in many theatres, venues, and arenas throughout the nation, along with several festivals, such as Montreal Just for Laughs. His live acts are considered to be really comical and entertaining. In addition, Bo has also written the script and done the music for the film of an award-winning director and producer, called Judd Apatow.
