These artists include Scorpions, 3 Doors Down, Donna Summer, Backstreet Boys, Bob Dylan, Cyndi Lauper, Deep Purple and Johnny Cash.
Constructed and opened for public viewing in 1996, the outdoor venue was built on a piece of land originally owned by the Miller family. The property was initially used by the family in the summer vacations during which the Millers hosted concerts and family events. However small cottages were seen popping up on the land after which the ownership of the grounds shifted. With the change of the ownership the area was converted into an entertainment hotspot. It was first named “Meadowbrook Farm” which consisted of a temporary set up that included a stage with portable seats offering space for over twenty five hundred people. The rest of the lawn was also utilized as seating space and could accommodate as much as two thousand attendees. After a period of five years, the name of the farm was changed to “Meadowbrook Musical Arts Center” and the temporary stage was replaced with a permanent one.
Renovations came about in 2002 when the owners of the Meadowbrook Musical Arts Center decided to add a pavilion roof along with reserved seating space, removable seats and general admission seating area. After the renovations were completed the facility had a seating capacity of over sixty five hundred figure. Further improvements were seen taking place as of 2005 when a second stage was added to the amphitheatre. A permanent bar with a tented area was also added to the grounds. The year 2007 foresaw another name change of the amphitheatre as it was changed from Meadowbrook Musical Arts Center to Meadowbrook U.S. Cellular Pavilion.
A few of the upcoming concerts audiences can look forward to attending at the facility include performances by Alice Cooper, Allman Brothers, Big Time Rush, Daughtry, Def Leppard, Kesha, Kiss, John Mayer, The Band Perry, Zac Brown Band, Megadeth and Rascal Flatts.
