The Book of Mormon the musical is a satirical religious story with lyrics and book written by Robert Lopez, Matt Stone and Trey Parker. Stone and Parker are famous for their creation of famous comedy animated show named "South Park." After more than seven years of production the musical finally premiered at Broadway theatre in March of 2011. The story revolves around two Mormon missionaries who are sent to a village in Uganda where the villagers are threatened by a violent warlord. They try to convey their message though the holy book but have trouble communicating with the locals who are facing grave problems such as poverty, famine, war and AIDS.

The Book of Mormon is directed by Casey Nicholaw with Parker. Nicholaw is the choreographer of the show as well. After the immense success of Broadway production which managed to win nine Tony Awards and several Drama Desk Awards, a national tour was started in August of 2012.
