The story of the musical follows a Northampton-native, Charlie Price, who inherits his father's shoe factory on his sudden death. Being the fourth-generation son in the family business, Price thinks up new ways to keep it afloat. One night, he chances a meeting with a drag queen Lola who points out how their boots aren't made with their clientele in mind. This gives Price a new direction for his factory ? designing Kinky Boots for drag queens. As the story unfolds, the factory workers, Price and Lola learn what it truly means to accept someone for who they are.

The US nationaltour

For 2015, Kinky Boots is touring nationwide across the US with stops at many cities. Among the touring cast are actors such as Kyle Taylor, Steven Booth, Lindsay Nicole Chambers, Joe Coots and others.
