The Brooklyn Nets are a franchise of the NBA. They are members of the Eastern Conference and play in the Atlantic Division. The team was founded in 1967 as a member of the ABA and was known as the New Jersey Americans back then. In subsequent years they moved to New York and then to New Jersey before finally settling in Brooklyn in 2012. The Nets have won six division titles in their career, out of which two came when they used to play in the ABA. Although the Brooklyn Nets still have to win an NBA Championship, they have won two league crowns in the ABA in 1974 and 1976.
