The Silver Bullet Band is the creation of the world renowned rock music artist Bob Seger. He debuted in the music industry with his studio album Ramblin' Gamblin' Man in 1969. Since then, he has performed with numerous bands and under various names including Bob Seger and the Last Heard, Bob Seger System and eventually Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band. The last one came together in 1974 when Seger banded with five other music artists. The current members of The Silver Bullet Band are saxophonist Alto Reed, drummer and keyboardist Craig Frost, bassist Chris Campbell and Bob Seger himself on guitars and vocals.

Since 1974, Seger and The Silver Bullet Band have released seven studio albums. The first one is Night Moves in 1976 and the last one is It's a Mystery that hit the shelves two decades later. Six of their albums charted among the Top 10 at the Billboard 200 including Against the Wind that topped the chart. The first three albums garnered multiplatinum certifications in Canada and the US. The next three were certified platinum while the concluding album went gold.

The band has also given studio albums with Bob Seger and backed him on all of his worldwide and national tours. Currently, they are touring North America for the promotion of Bob Seger's latest album Ride Out as Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band.
