The delightful witches are back for a ?wicked? run at the Juanita K. Hammons Hall in February 2016. The love story at the center of Wicked the musical is a bit different than the typical boy-meets-girl but it has proved to be no less endearing. The story of Wicked begins with Glinda, the popular socialite and Elphaba, the awkward green girl with unexplained powers loathing each other. Unwillingly they share a room at school and slowly the ice between them begins to thaw. Elphaba then gets whisked off to the Emerald City where she meets and later declares a war on the Wizard.


Ever since Wicked started its Broadway run and later travelled to many cities, several talented actresses have played the endearing characters of the two witches. But standing out among all is Idina Menzel who played Elphaba for several years and earned a lot of popularity and awards for her role.


Wicked has also received a Grammy Award for its musical album that includes hit numbers like ?Dancing Through Life?, ?Defying Gravity?, ?What is this Feeling? and ?As Long As You're Mine?. The cultural phenomenon is not to be missed when it comes to your town and buy your tickets in advance.
