Matt Stone and Trey Parker's The Book of Mormon needs no introduction. 9-time Tony Award winning musical has the critics and audience raving about its enlightening concept and superb production effort. The musical is touring all over the country and different productions are being held of this “musical of the century”. Starting November 3, Hippodrome Theatre will enjoy an extended run and The Book of Mormon Baltimore tickets have been made available.
The Book of Mormon Entertainingly Pushes Limits
Much has been written and said about The Book of Mormon, a Broadway hit. Premiering in 2011, the musical has been running successfully since then, clinching noticeable awards in its wake. A critic from Boston Globe brilliantly reviewed it in words, “The Book of Mormon is akin to a genius who drops into a class of smart kids. It altered the grading curve.”
Mind you the musical is hilariously filthy, vulgar, and offensive but it's also so much fun and entertaining. Keeping aside the outrageous plot, the musical boasts of fantastic sets, costumes and some top class performances. The score is enlightening, having won a Grammy Award and lends full support to the scenes. Lead characters Elder Kevin Price and Elder Arnold Cunningham form a love-hate relationship with the audience as their actions are both endearing and offensive.
The Book of Mormon is worth every penny spent and the musical will keep you involved to such an extent that even before you know it the curtains will be coming down.
