The official colors of Sporting Kansas City are the traditional indigo and blue. The basic logo of the team consists of a shield shaped as a teardrop, which contains a somewhat stylized version of the state line of Kansas Missouri with blue stripes placed on Kansas side, and an intertwined SC on Missouri side. The significance of the state line is that it represents the team's fan-base in the metropolitan regions of Missouri and Kansas that combined together, are known as Kansas City. Furthermore, the eleven lines of the state line are meant to coincide with the particular number of players allowed on a soccer field during a game.  
 
Sporting Kansas City team has a proper supporters group that stands in a portion called The Cauldron. This name was taken from the big metallic pots often associated with witchcraft practices, and selected owing to the team's earlier title of Wizards.
