The Festival was started in 2008 by John Reese and Kevin Lyman of Vans Warped Tour fame. Ever since, it has been taking place on annual basis all over the United States and Canada. In addition to the world-famous metal bands, what attracts the fans is the 3-stage setting; Jagermeister Stage, Main Stage and the third stage is named after which ever company is sponsoring it. Different bands are playing on these stages, providing patrons with wide variety to choose from. The sponsor also offers free samples of its energy drink to patrons.
