Making its debut in 1977 on Broadway, Annie is the story of an orphan who fights against all odds to make it on the street. The original Broadway production was the most successful musical of its time. It enjoyed a record-breaking 2,377 shows over six years before it finally ended. Since then, the musical has been on the West End stage and numerous other stages all over the world with many world tours. Annie was also revived twice on Broadway and most recently on the West End to great reviews and fanfare.

The story of Annie is set in 1933 and is about an 11-year old orphan. The young Annie escapes from her orphanage and dreaded caretaker Miss Hannigan to look for her parents. What follows is an adventure where Annie finds out about the real world and all its perils. The show gives a strong message to patrons while entertaining them with its thrilling story.

The songs used in Annie were all originally composed for the musical and include popular numbers such as NYC, Hard Knock Life, Maybe, Tomorrow, Easy Street and You Make me Happy. The brilliant music has won the show a number of Tony Awards and Drama Desk Awards. The show has also collected a number of awards for the production, audiobook, soundtrack and performers over the years. This includes 7 Tony Awards and 7 Drama Desk Awards.
