The Tuacahn Amphitheatre and Centre for the Arts is a prestigious venue located at the head of the Padre Canyon in Ivins, Utah. It stands at the foot of red sandstone cliffs that are fifteen hundred feet high and is located next to the Snow Canyon State Park. Â It is a forty two thousand square feet large facility that has been functional since 1955. It is home to an outdoor amphitheater that can seat around nineteen hundred people, as well as an indoor theater that can seat over three hundred people. The venue is also home to a black-box theater, a dance theatre, studios, a scene shop and a costume shop. The Centre is also home to a gift shop and several classrooms. It is the place where Broadway productions are staged, with musicals such as Mary Poppins hosted. The center was founded by Doug Stewart, an Utah playwright known for productions such as Saturday's Warrior. Joined by Hyrum W. Smith, a philanthropist and businessman, the center was opened in 1955.

The first concert staged at the venue was by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Gordon B. Hinckley. The center went on to play host to UTAH!, the musical drama, and Broadway in the Desert, as well as many more. In 2005, the Summer Theater Institute was founded so as to educate and entertain high school students from all over Utah. This includes a musical production at the Ruth and Orval Hafen Theatre, the center's indoor theatre, for a month and then the experiences of a fun summer camp.

The Tuacahn Amphitheatre and Centre for the Arts became one of the eight regional theaters to be selected to perform the first productions of the Broadway musical, Les Miserables, after the Broadway premiere, by Music Theatre International. Les Miserables was staged in 2008 and was a highly successful affair. In 2009, the venue again became one of the first to be awarded the right to stage Disney's Tarzan musical after its Broadway premiere. This musical, based upon one of Disney's most popular cartoons, was so successful that Disney again awarded the theatre rights to produce The Little Mermaid musical after its debut on Broadway in 2011. Many bought Tuacahn Amphitheatre and Centre for the Arts tickets to catch these Disney musical live.

In 2004, Scott S Anderson became the Center's artistic director. He is best known as the director and writer of The Best Two Years, an award winning movie. The center is also unique in that it is home to the Tuacahn High School for the Performing Arts, a charter school.
