The Moncton Coliseum is Moncton’s multipurpose facility which has a seating capacity of 7,200 for live events and 6,554 for hockey matches. The Moncton Arena near it is host to Atlantic Canada’s biggest trade show. Apart from hosting live events by some of the most famous names of the music and entertainment industry, the facility hosts a number of sporting events and is home to Moncton Miracles of National Basketball League of Canada and Moncton Wildcats of QMJHL. Coliseum has, in the past, hosted CIS University Cup in the years 2007 and 2008 and Memorial Cup in 2006. Every year, the preseason games of NHL take place in the stadium as well. Johnny Reid is going to perform at the Moncton Coliseum stage on the evening of 17th December. Reid is an accomplished country music star belonging to Scotland, and has been entertaining the fans since 1997. Originally belonging to UK, his family moved to Canada when he was in his early teens. Reid’s debut album, “Another Day, Another Dime” hit the market in 1997 and received positive reviews. However, he managed to raise the bar with his fourth studio album “Kicking Stones”, which earned him a Juno Award in the category of “Record of the Year”. Reid’s latest album is a holiday special named “A Christmas Gift to You”, released this October.
Hedley the band belongs to Canada and was created in 2003. This pop rock band entered the music industry with the release of their debut single which made it to number one spot on the charts. The song was titled On My Own. It was followed by number of other singles, until the release of their debut album in 2005, titled “Hedley.” Their recent album, “Wild Life” hit the market in the November of this year, and in its support the band is hitting the road for a series of concerts, one of which will be arranged at the Moncton Coliseum on the 20th of March.
