It is located at 14 Civic Center Plaza in Poughkeepsie, and is a dual venue comprised of Mair Hall and McCann Ice Arena. The history of Mid Hudson Civic Center dates back to 1970s, when it was built as part of the general attempt at rehabilitation of the central district of the City of Poughkeepsie in Hudson Valley.

Mid Hudson Civic Center houses a concert and convention hall called Mair Hall. Occupying an area of 15,475 square feet, Mair Hall has a capacity of hosting 3,050 seated spectators and large expos and trade shows.

The Hall is also available for rent by promoters, organizations, businesses and individuals. It features concerts, international programs, theater, sporting and entertaining events, fundraisers, commemorative programs, faith-based gatherings, school graduations, banquets and all manners of expos and trade shows.

An Ice Skating Venue, McCann Ice Arena also calls Mid Hudson Civic Center its home. McCann Ice Arena is a NHL-sized rink and offers hockey, figure skating and public sessions year round.

It serves youth organizations, leagues and individuals and can be rented for private use and birthday parties. The facility features an indoor NHL-sized ice sheet for offering ice and inline hockey activities for both youth and adult players. McCann Ice Arena can accommodate seating for over 2000 spectators.

Home to the Hudson Valley Bears, McCann Ice Arena serves youth organizations, leagues and individuals for both recreational and competitive figure skating and ice hockey.

The Arena is also noted for offering open ice slots, group and private lessons, public skating sessions and private parties. Attending events/shows at Mid Hudson Civic Center will not let you regret over the money you spent. It knows the art of making the event special and your time memorable.
