The Lakewood Amphitheatre is a concert venue, located just about 4 miles south of downtown Atlanta, in Georgia, USA. It opened in 1989, with the name Lakewood Amphitheatre, but somehow, it soon became to be known as the Coca-Cola Lakewood Amphitheatre and kept this name for quite some time. In 2000, the venue the name was changed back to Lakewood Amphitheatre. In 2001, the naming rights of the venue changed once again, and the amphitheatre now began to be known as HiFi Buys Amphitheatre. 7 seasons later, the venue once again changed back to its original name - Lakewood Amphitheatre, in 2008, as the HiFi Buys went bankrupt. More recently, the name of the facility has yet again changed. Since May, 2009, after the formation of the naming rights agreement with Aaron's, the venue has been recognized as the Aaron's Amphitheatre at Lakewood. However, the fans of this amphitheatre still call it with its original name.

The Lakewood Amphitheatre housed its debut season in 1989, the same year in which it opened. Ever since, this outdoor amphitheatre has been among the premiere concert venues in the Southeast. The main purpose behind building this venue was to specifically house popular music. Special measurements were taken while designing this amphitheatre, so that both the artists and the audience alike get familiar with a high-tech and modern live musical performance. The venue has awesome acoustics, and superior lighting facilities. In addition, the Lakewood Amphitheatre also allows unrestricted sightlines; therefore, no seat in the house is a bad seat.

The seating capacity of Lakewood Amphitheatre is about 19000. Although, it is an outdoor venue, some of the seats are still covered by a roof and are thus protected from the weather. There are only 7,000 actual reserved seats and 5000 of these are under the roof. The seats which are not covered are referred to as starlight seats and are 2000 in number. There is also space for an additional 12,000 audience on the huge lawn, sloping upward behind the seating area.

The venue has been home to many top-caliber artists and bands, such as Aerosmith, the Dave Matthews Band, Linkin Park, Jimmy Buffett, and ZZ Top. Other artista that have graced the stage here, include, Pearl Jam, Britney Spears, Green Day, Coldplay, Phish, Tina Turner, and many more popular names.
