Due to the attendees complaint of blistering weather the promoters moved the event to April, when the weather is rather pleasant. This time promoters were at threat of facing another loss since they couldn't find any band for their headlining act. But eventually with they got lucky and were able to bring the re-united Jane's Addiction for their headlining act.
The next two days Coachella festival was held in 2002, was a success to some extent as it had good headlining acts featuring the reunion of Siouxsie and the Banshee's with Björk and Oasis and ended up without any complaints.
